To Clear Up Some Things About Idol Posts

Im getting a bunch of requests about posting certain songs through the competition and formats to post them in and ive noticed some of you are misinformed about how its going on this year, so here are some facts:
.
- I said from the start Im only posting the TOP 12 and further. So nothing from Top 24-Top 16 will be posted. You can usually find those on other blogs if you need to, or just buy on iTunes.
.
- Studio Recordings STARTED with the Top 12. ANY performance before the Top 12 that is featured on iTunes is STILL a live performance, the only difference between the live broadcasted TV versions and the live iTunes ones are that the audience is dimmed down and the singer's voice is recoded straight into their microphone while they perform, so its not really a studio recording.
.
- Studio Recordings are NOT offered in 320kbps. Last year americanidol.com offered 320kbps mp3s of the studio recordings, but this year iTunes is offering them in their native format. This format originates in 128kbps protected AAC files which must be stripped from their protection and then converted to mp3 format. This makes the mp3s impossible to have true 320kbps quality. Even if I happen to post a studio recording in 320kbps, it was from a 128kbps file.
.
Hope this answers some of your questions and confusion about the American Idol posts this year. If something still doesnt make sense, just ask me.
